Bob, Doesn't this warming trend data coincide with 11 previous warming trends that occurred prior to the 11 most recent ice ages? It seems that global warming advocates never mention these well-established facts in the worlds climate records.

Economic 'monsoon' for county budget?

SUMMIT COUNTY — County officials said property tax revenues could take a $4.6 million hit in 2012, when the latest round of property valuations kick in for the purposes of assessing property taxes. According to early figures from the county assessor's office, property values, based sales during the past two years, have dropped 20 to 22 percent. The valuation period ends June 30. CDOT focusing on high-tech, high speed rail in new I-70 plan

CDOT has released the latest version of an I-70 improvement plan and will take public comment through Nov. 8. The draft programmatic environmental impact statement (say that fast three times) includes a preferred alternative that was developed by consensus among I-70 corridor stakeholders, including local towns and businesses.

Solar power debate - central or distributed generation?

We all know that moving to solar power is the right thing to do, but exactly how we get there is up for debate. There seems to be a growing movement to focus on distributed solar power generation, as opposed to large centralized facilities. Advocates for distributed solar power say the best course is to use develop solar resources within already developed footprints, rather than building huge new plants in undeveloped areas.
